Agnona the luxury women’s apparel company has an excellent opportunity for an Account Executive to join its Wholesale Division within our New York City Offices.

Summary:  The Account Executive is responsible for supporting the Agnona wholesale business in specialty and department store accounts in North and South America. The Account Executive will partner with the SVP to build collaborative relationships, communicate the Agnona global wholesale strategy and develop a long term vision of the business together with their accounts.  They will be accountable to achieve both sell in and sell out targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Responsibility

  • Optimize existing business including driving performance, and mitigating risk/liability, tracking shipping and selling etc.
  • Strategize and execute on new business opportunity alongside SVP.
  • Targeted Specialty Store account acquisition.
  • Plan and host seasonal market activities (clinics, trunk shows, store visits etc).
  • Generate reporting on sell in and sell out data
  • Suggest re-orders to clients to drive sales.
  • Compile advertising and marketing initiatives for designated clients (including sample organization, proper positioning etc.)
  • Maintain and update Account Lists directing Sales Assistant on seasonal edits and updates.
  • Assist with compiling press packets and distribution binders.
  • Partner with SVP to develop seasonal sales plans and assure their timely achievement.
  • Establish purchase plans with store buyers and project seasonal sales plan by account for budget.
  • Collect, analyze, and recap by account – Retail Sales Performance and bookings history
  • Ensure any order extensions required are obtained in a timely manner.

Market Week

  • Development and solicitation of target clients.
  • Securing seasonal market appointments for existing and target accounts.
  • Coordinate market logistics including supervision of Sellers, Market Temps, and Models.
  • Full execution of market appointments including
    • Presenting the collection in market to all designated accounts,
    • Conveying collection intent and key concepts
    • Building assortments
    • Entering Order notes in Agnona Web Entry program.
    • Collecting and reviewing orders for content and budget
    • Present/review all orders with SVP including order summary/analysis TY v LY v BGT
    • Enter all US/CA orders in Agnona Web Entry (working off order notes already created).
    • Ensure all client PO dates conform with Agnona ship windows.
    • Double check order entry, and send within agreed deadlines.
    • Send clients soft copy order re-caps within 24 hours of order transmission.
    • Check Italy order  re-caps against orders sent for discrepancies.
    • Post market, send official order confirmations.
    • Partner with clients to ensure timely EDI transmission of sized orders at least 30 days prior to open of ship window.
  • Maintain showroom selling space (samples, swatches, closet storage, desk area) in an organized, professional manner.
  • Provide end of season analysis on market results.

In Store Presentation & Training

  • Develop & implement seasonal training and product knowledge materials for retail partners.
  • Provide support with organization and execution of in-store training initiatives for major department store partners and specialty stores.
  • Assist with monitoring and managing the quality and physical presentation of the shop in shops.
  • Partner with VM to assure full brand view of seasonal buys by client.
  • Strategize on driving effective selling events, contests, and incentives.
  • Partner with SVP on Marketing materials requests.
  • Schedule seasonal selling events and trunk shows, work with SVP to ensure coverage for all events.
  • Take advantage of in-season selling opportunities, both seasonal and stock.
  • Communicate with Customer Service on shipping to ensure orders are being released to customers on a timely basis (and in coordination with planned events).
  • Provide store visit reports documenting observations and follow up action items.
  • Monitor our competitive price positioning and provide timely feedback to Directors.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Build and update seasonal sales reports that are distributed to the Agnona Senior Management Team.
  • Maintain all Wholesale-related files and reports, including client orders, stock compilations and purchase order logs.
  • Distribute weekly and monthly reports - update required reports and notify appropriate cross-functional partners.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and research as directed by SVP.
  • Selling report formatting and analysis.
Candidate's profile

Education & Requirements

  • BA or BS with minimum 5 years experience in Wholesale Sales
  • Demonstrated experience supporting a wholesale sales business with a high end, luxury brand
  • Excellent product sensibility; understanding of retail/wholesale luxury markets
  • Agility and ability to react quickly with strong sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to interface with a team and work on independent projects
  • Ability to develop strong relationships built on respect and trust
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects
  • Flexibility to meet schedule requirements
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills to interact and collaborate with cross-functional partners
  • Department Store buying office experience a plus
  • Italian language fluency a plus
